What You’ll Do
As a game sound designer, you will be responsible for creating and implementing sound effects, music, and other audio elements for video games. This may include tasks such as:

Collaborating with game designers and developers to understand the audio needs of the game and how it fits into the overall gameplay experience

Creating and designing sound effects using tools such as digital audio workstations and sound editing software

Implementing sound effects into the game using audio software and game engines

Composing music for the game, including creating tracks, loops, and ambient sounds

Editing and mixing audio to ensure high quality and consistency

Working with voice actors to record dialogue and implementing it into the game

Testing and iterating on audio to ensure it fits the game's style and vision
To be successful in this role, you should have strong audio editing and design skills, as well as a good understanding of music theory. Experience with game development tools and software such as Unity and Wwise is also beneficial.
